AED Certification in New Jersey

Developed to mirror a traditional learning environment, the Red Cross's in-person AED classes in New Jersey allow you to learn how to use an automated external defibrillator under the guidance of trained, local experts. Combining lecture with hands-on skills sessions, these courses give you time to ask questions and work through problems as a team while learning the latest techniques.

Developed for those who need a flexible option, our best-in-class Simulation Learning experience combines self-paced, interactive online coursework with in-person skills sessions which allows you to train your way and receive full AED certification.

At The American Red Cross, we know how important it is to create a safe environment for your students and your faculty. That's why we've developed a training program just for schools. With our specially designed program, your school's educators and administrators can learn to teach New Jersey AED certification classes, then deliver training to students and faculty. This way, you can create an on-campus community that will be ready to help when it's needed most.

If you have a New Jersey AED certification that's within 30 days of its expiration date, you can register for an abbreviated in-person or blended Simulation Learning class. Both types of classes allow you to learn the updated science and best practices for when and how to use AED devices – and allow you to demonstrate your skills to a certified instructor. This means that upon successful completion of your training you'll receive full certification that's valid for two years.

After successfully completing your Red Cross AED training in New Jersey, your certification credentials will be valid for two years. During this time you'll have access to online refresher materials, and as your certification's expiration date nears, you'll have the option to take an abbreviated AED renewal class. This way, you can stay up to date on the latest information and techniques, and extend your certification by two more years.
