Committed to improving newborn care, our new NALS Foundations and Comprehensive courses provide healthcare professionals serving in hospitals, birthing centers, emergency medical services (EMS) providers and beyond with critical lifesaving skills. Participants are presented with cases that require them to quickly assess the newborn, analyze the data presented and determine appropriate next steps. EMS-focused cases bridge the gap between theory and practice to encourage more meaningful learning that builds skills and confidence.
Foundations skills include:
- Positive pressure ventilation (PPV)
- Alternative airway
- Laryngeal mask
- Team response practice and testing
Comprehensive skills include:
- Positive pressure ventilation

Elevate™ SMART Manikin Training Solution
The SMART Manikin offers unparalleled convenience and efficiency for both learners and organizations. Learners begin their certification with a flexible, didactic eLearning course taken at a time and day of their choosing.
Upon successful completion of the eLearning course, learners schedule a skills session with the SMART Manikin. In a private setting, they practice skills with the manikin and a tablet. An instructor is on-call for support if needed. After successfully passing all required skills sessions, learners receive their certification card by email.
