Babysitting Training in Texas

Texas babysitting classes from the American Red Cross can help you demonstrate your skills and grow your business. And with online and in-person classes available for those ages 11 and older, you can find the perfect way to train for the certification you need. Available courses include Babysitting Basics, Babysitter's Training, and Advanced Child Care. By progressing through each level you'll build a foundation of knowledge and can build on your skills as you build your business.

Babysitter certification from the Red Cross is valid for two years. In order to maintain your credentials, certificate holders can enroll in one of our abbreviated recertification courses, which allows you to receive the latest information, update your skills, and renew your certification for an additional two years.

The Texas Babysitter Training course from the American Red Cross is designed those ages 11 to 15, and is delivered in a traditional classroom setting. With caring, compassionate, knowledgeable instructors who can help you understand the proper techniques for caring for infants and children, you can become a more capable, confident babysitter.

After successfully completing your Red Cross babysitter training in Texas, you'll receive a digital certificate that you can print up and place in your portfolio or access online at any time. In addition, your certificate will include a unique ID number and a QR code, which allows potential employers to confirm that your certificate is valid.

At the Red Cross we provide those ages 11 and older with a comprehensive education in babysitting and child care best practices. However, it's important to note that none of our babysitting classes in Texas are intended for state-licensed child care providers, as our courses do not meet all of the state requirements for such certification.
