AED Certification in Cambridge
When someone suffers a sudden cardiac emergency, his or her chances of survival are reduced by approximately 10% for each minute that defibrillation is delayed. And with the average response time of first responders once 911 is called registering at between 8 and 12 minutes, you can see that knowing how to use an AED is critical. That's why the American Red Cross offers a range of options for AED training in Cambridge. With online-only and in-person classes, plus our blended Simulation Learning, we make it easy to get the training you need.
AED training in Cambridge is available in person, online, and via our innovative blended Simulation Learning experience. By combining online coursework with in-person skills sessions, our Simulation Learning option allows you to learn at your own pace, then show your skills to a local Red Cross instructor.
Because every minute counts when care is needed, we offer our Cambridge AED certification classes at a range of times, and in a variety of locations, all year long. Delivered by trained experts, our courses include lecture materials, as well as hands-on training to help you become comfortable with how and when to use external automated defibrillators. After successful completion of an in-person course or blended Simulation Learning class, you'll receive full certification that's valid for two years, as well as access to online refresher materials to help keep your memory, and your skills, sharp.
In order to give you the information you need to provide care to someone in need, our Cambridge AED classes also include instruction on, and certification in, first aid and CPR. And although these classes offer a wide range of information, they take just a few short hours to complete. In addition, our in-person and Simulation Learning courses on AED, First Aid and CPR are OSHA compliant and result in full certification, which is valid for two years.

If you don't often use the skills you've learned in our AED classes in Cambridge, it's easy to forget how and when to use an automated external defibrillator. In order to keep your memory fresh, we've created a printable document that outlines the steps necessary for providing life-saving care. This way, you can keep the instructions in a binder, on your refrigerator, at your desk or in your bag, and refer to them from time to time so that you're ready to help when it's needed most.
