Lifeguard Training in Darien
The Red Cross Lifeguarding Classes in Darien are designed to train you with the necessary skills to promote water safety, prevent accidents and injury while also learning crucial response techniques in the event of a water emergency. The Red Cross lifeguard training program is designed to arm you with the proper knowledge necessary to be a lifeguard while also preparing you for a variety of scenarios around water.
The American Red Cross has three courses that are featured during Lifeguard training in Darien: Lifeguarding, Shallow Water Lifeguarding (water up to 5 feet deep) and Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding (water up to 3 feet deep). Our in-person courses are perfect for those who prefer a traditional learning environment, offering the time to learn, ask questions and view in-person demonstrations. The total time commitment for our in-person lifeguarding course is 25 hours and 20 minutes.
The Red Cross blended learning Lifeguarding Classes in Darien combine the traditional classroom environment along with online learning options. Our blended learning classes combines both in-person and online coursework for a total time commitment of 19 hours and 30 minutes in-person and 7 hours and 30 minutes of online work.
