Developed for older teens and adults, our learn-at-your-own-pace Learn-to-Swim program gives adult swimmers at every level the opportunity to improve their skills in a safe environment, become stronger swimmers (for fun and fitness), and learn how to enjoy the water – all under the expert guidance of our compassionate, certified instructors.

    In addition to offering swimming classes in Illinois, the Red Cross is helping to keep communities safer around the water by delivering water safety information to kids of all ages. Through our Longfellow's WHALE Tales program, kids can learn water safety – with or without access to a pool – and gain important information on safe behavior in, on and around the water.
