• First Aid Training in Georgia

At the Red Cross we know how busy you are. That's why we've developed first aid classes in Georgia that are easy to fit into your schedule. Training takes just a few short hours and can be completed online, in person or in a blended format that combines online coursework with an in-person skills session. This way, you can learn first aid when and where it suits you best, and provide care when it's needed most.

Even after taking one of our first aid classes in Georgia, it's easy to lose your skills if they're not practiced regularly. To help keep the information you've learned fresh in your mind, we've created a simple step-by-step guide that you can print up and place on your refrigerator, in your car, in your bag or at your desk and review at any time.

In order to become fully certified in first aid by the American Red Cross, you must successfully complete an in-person class or Simulation Learning course taught by Red Cross instructors. In Georgia, first aid training opportunities are available in dozens of convenient locations throughout the state - making it easy to find a class that's near your home, school or office. Courses are also available in an online-only format, however they may not meet your employer's requirements for workplace safety.

In Georgia, first aid training for adults focuses on how you can best provide care to the adults, including teens, in your life. From cuts and burns to falls, broken bones and a myriad of other injuries, our courses cover it all so that you can gain the confidence, and skills, needed to help during times of crisis.

Because children and babies have more delicate bodies and require specialized care, we offer first aid classes in Georgia that focus specifically on providing care to the youngest among us. With detailed instruction on caring for conscious and unconscious children, and information on helping kids who have been injured in a variety of ways, we can give you the skills and confidence needed to provide care until trained medical professionals arrive.

Once you complete your Georgia first aid certification classes, your credentials will be valid for two years. In order to maintain your certification beyond the two-year period, we offer abbreviated first aid renewal classes that allow you to stay up to date on the latest techniques. These classes should be taken within 30 days of your certification's expiration date, and will extend the life of your credentials by two additional years.

At the American Red Cross all of our courses, including our first aid classes in Georgia, are developed under the guidance of, and reviewed by, the Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council.
